A standby is when skydiving operations are temporarily suspended due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. In the UAE, the primary interference comes from the wind, both at ground level and at different altitudes. During a "standby", conditions are closely monitored, and operations will resume once they are deemed suitable. If conditions do not improve, operations will be canceled.
