Tandem skydives at our Palm and desert dropzones can be reserved online through our secure live booking calendar, or purchased in person.
Of course! Tandem gift certificates are available for both our dropzones and can only be purchased online. Gift certificates make perfect presents for the adrenaline and extreme-sports lovers in your life. Please note: Gift certificates are for personal use only, and the person using it must meet our requirements.
A tandem skydive means that you will skydive while securely attached to a qualified instructor. Your instructor will deploy your parachute, navigate to the landing area, and control the parachute to ensure a safe and soft landing. At Skydive Dubai, a camera flyer will also accompany you to capture every unbelievable second. So, all you have to do is enjoy the moment, and smile for the camera!
Tandem skydiving reservations for both dropzones are generally available to book one to three months in advance. This is to avoid any unforeseen schedule changes, ensure aircraft availability, and to avoid overbooking during periods of aircraft maintenance. If your preferred dates are not currently displayed, they haven’t yet been opened to bookings. Check back regularly to see when new slots become available. If you are unable to book your selected dates because we are already fully booked, you may still be able to skydive by joining our daily tandem skydiving waiting list, or by choosing to book your skydive at our second location. Please note, there are no guarantees that people will get their turn in either option.
The average human body falls at approximately 120 miles per hour, although this can increase or decrease based on body size and position.
You should plan to spend between 3 to 4 hours from the time you check-in to when you complete your skydive.
Our teams at both our locations work hard to get you in the air as soon as they can. Weather conditions on the ground and/or at opening altitude, or other factors, may result in delays, so please ensure you have a flexible schedule on the day of your skydive. We cannot guarantee you will be finished at a particular time.
If our skydiving operations are on standby, you are more than welcome to reschedule for another day.
As with any adventure sport, skydiving has an element of risk. However, we minimize this risk by using state-of-the-art training and equipment. Our tandem requirements also help us maintain our safety procedures. All Skydive Dubai equipment is equipped with an automatic activation device (AAD), which will automatically deploy the parachute in the unlikely event that your instructor is unable to do so. All of our skydiving tandem instructors have undergone rigorous selection, training, and certification, and all parachutes are maintained under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rigger supervision. Our impressive fleet of aircraft is maintained to the very highest standards. Your safety really is our primary concern.
Yes, weather can affect skydiving. In the UAE we are lucky as we don’t tend to see too much cloud cover, but poor visibility, precipitation, or winds (especially at higher altitudes) can sometimes delay proceedings. If this is the case, our safety and training officer or other qualified personnel will put the operation on a ‘standby’. This doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t get to skydive. Usually, it just means you may have to wait a bit longer to do so. If poor conditions persist, we may have to cancel operations for the day. If we cancel you can reschedule to the next available date or apply for a refund.
A standby is when skydiving operations are temporarily suspended due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. In the UAE, our main interference comes from the wind, at ground level, and at altitude. If there is a standby, conditions will be constantly monitored, and operations will resume once conditions are deemed suitable. If conditions do not improve, operations will be canceled.
Before your skydive, you will receive a full tandem briefing, and your camera flyer will interview you. You will be escorted to the boarding area, where you will receive a pre-boarding safety check, and you will get your pictures taken. You, your instructor and your videographer will then board the aircraft.
No, the time mentioned on your reservation confirmation is the time you need to arrive at our location. It is not the time of your skydive. You should plan to spend about three to four hours at the dropzone, as weather and other factors may play a part.
Every customer who purchases a tandem package at either of our locations will receive photographs and our standard edited video of their experience, via email, within 48 hours of completing their skydive. The Instagram edit, if purchased, will also be sent via email.

A minimum degree of fitness is required to complete a tandem skydive, and to ensure a safe landing for you and your instructor. Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indicator of this.
Skydive Dubai requires each tandem customer to meet both, the weight and BMI requirements listed below. These are the equipment manufacturers’ requirements and we cannot make exceptions for safety reasons.
Women
Weight: 90.0 kg/ 198.0 lbs or less.
BMI: 27.5 or less.
Men
Weight: 100.0 kg/220 lbs or less.
BMI: 30.0 or less.
Please note, our staff will weigh you (with your shoes and clothes on) when you check-in on the day of your skydive. You are welcome to visit our locations before you book your skydive to weigh yourself on our scales.
Given the popularity of tandem skydiving in Dubai, we suggest you book your skydive in advance. If you are a tourist and are visiting Dubai, we advise that you schedule your skydive for the beginning of your trip in case it needs to be rescheduled due to bad weather. Reservations must be made through the live booking calendar on our official website.

Yes. Every customer will be given protective eye goggles to wear during their skydive. So, if you need to wear prescription glasses or lenses during your skydive, please do so. You don't want to miss that view!
Our regular tandem package includes a standard edited video (along with pictures) of your skydive. This video is usually between 3 to 4 minutes in length. You do not need to pay anything extra for this. The footage for the video and the photos are captured by the cameraflyer who flies in front of you during your skydive.
The Instagram edit is a video that features the highlights of your tandem skydive. This video is 1 minute in duration and is available for an additional cost of AED 100. The same footage that is captured by your cameraflyer is used for this video. It may also include footage from the selfie-view if you purchase the add-on.
The selfie-view add-on is not a video. It is additional footage that is captured by your tandem instructor using a wrist-mounted GoPro. This footage is available for an additional payment of AED 250. The footage is incorporated into your standard edited video and the Instagram edit (if you purchase it).
