What to bring if you’re a licensed skydiver:

  • Valid photo ID
  • A signed and up-to-date log book
  • Memberships and licenses (from the same federation, when applicable) must be valid upon arrival
  • Your rig will need to be inspected by our riggers before you can manifest. The in-date reserve data card must be filled before manifesting (reserve repacks are available at our onsite rigging loft). Please note, your reserve repack is valid for only 180 days from the date of repacking, irrespective of the country that has issued your license. AADs are mandatory (Cypress, Vigil and M2 are accepted, however, Argus is not accepted). Skydiving gear equipped with high-performance canopies (Cross-braced) and/or skydivers with a wing loading higher than 2.0 must have a minimum of Cypres Speed or its equivalent.
  • It is recommended that skydivers hold insurance policies that cover both first- and third-party liability.
  • If you plan to rent gear, please request this upon check-in. 

Currency requirements:

  • Students and non-licensed skydivers need to have skydived in the last 30 days.
  • Licensed skydivers who have between 25 to 49 logged skydives need to have skydived in the last 60 days.
  • Licensed skydivers who have between 50 to 199 logged skydives need to have skydived in the last 90 days.
  • Licensed skydivers who have over 200 logged skydives need to have skydived within the last six months.

Important

1. Location & hours of operation remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

Desert Dropzone: Located outside Dubai, on E66 (Dubai-Al Ain road), near Margham, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Desert DZ will be open during the Holy Month of Ramadan and follow the timings listed below. 

March and April 2023: The dropzone is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 8:00 am with the first take-off planned for about 9:00 am. Fun jumpers can manifest on a load from 8:30 am using the BubrleMe app. The DZ is closed every Monday and Tuesday. 
May 2023: The dropzone is open from Friday to Sunday, from 6:00 am with the first take-off planned for about 7:00 am. Fun jumpers can manifest on a load from 6:30 am using the BubrleMe app. The DZ is closed from Monday to Thursday. 
June 2023: The dropzone is open from Friday to Sunday, from 5:00 am with the first take-off planned for about 6:00 am. Fun jumpers can manifest on a load from 5:30 am using the BubrleMe app. The DZ is closed from Monday to Thursday. 

Operations will continue until the weather permits. 

Skydive Dubai reserves the right to close its dropzones or cancel operations without prior notice. Skydive Dubai will not be responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that anyone may incur as a result of planned or unexpected dropzone closures, including but not limited to visas, airline tickets, hotels, taxi fare, etc.

Pricing and rig rental information is shared in the Pricing section. Please note, packing tickets can be purchased from our Shop and jump tickets can be bought at the manifest window. If you plan to rent the gear you may request this when you check-in. Please note, rigs cannot be rented in advance.

Courses & Coaching

1. B license courses – Canopy Course remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

To be eligible for this course you must have a USPA A license and be current.

The course comprises five low-altitude jumps, which must be completed in one day, weather permitting.

3. Advanced coaching – Formation Skydiving remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

At the Desert Dropzone's Flight School, we offer Advanced FS Coaching to costumers who'd like to improve their group flying skills, want to be safely involved in bigger formations or want to compete in 4way FS discipline. Each jump is organized, with a pre-jump briefing, and video debrief after landing. 

We offer 1-on-1 coaching as well as group coaching if you’d like to share the day with your friends. Please note, the group must have similar experience and skill level.

4. Advanced coaching – Freefly remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

At Skydive Dubai we offer coaching in all aspects of Freefly skydiving. From the basics of angle flying all the way to the skills necessary to safely participate in head-down formations. We take you through the fundamentals of the discipline and then help you to combine the different elements of Freefly into awesome, dynamic, multi-dimensional skydives.

Don't get stuck in a skydiving rut, get coaching and unleash your full freefly potential!

We offer 1-on-1 coaching as well as group coaching if you’d like to share the day with your friends. Please note, the group must have similar experience and skill level.

Whether you want to improve your flat tracking to produce better, safer break-offs, learn the basics of angle flying so you can get involved in group jumps or polish your skills to keep up with the fastest, steepest skydives on your back or belly; at Skydive Dubai we can help you achieve your tracking goals! We will guide you through the fundamentals on the belly before introducing you to back tracking and teaching you how to safely approach, fly with and break-off from a group tacking jump,

Looking to learn a new discipline in skydiving? At Skydive Dubai's wingsuit school we offer a wide range of coaching from First flight course, formation flying, acrobatics, performance, XRW, and military training. The coaching techniques are effective and continue to broadcast safety in the discipline of wingsuiting.  

We offer 1-on-1 coaching as well as group coaching if you’d like to share the day with your friends. Please note, the group must have similar experience and skill level.

Whether you’re a beginner or are looking to sharpen your skills in order to compete in the discipline, we offer canopy coaching for every level.

8. Instructional courses – Coach Course remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

If you’d like to share your passion for skydiving by becoming an instructor in the sport, the first step is to become a USPA-rated Coach. This allows you to teach unlicensed skydivers who are attempting to attain their “A” license. 

A minimum of 100 jumps and a USPA B-License is required prior to attending the course.

9. Instructional courses – AFF Rating remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

Teaching people about the sport you love is both rewarding and fun. The AFF Instructor rating is used as a method of teaching someone the basic skydiving survival skills needed to safely jump out of an airplane, freefall, open the parachute, and navigate to the ground... all on their own.

A minimum of 6 hours of freefall and a USPA Coach rating are required prior to attending the course. The Coach rating must be valid for more than one year if the candidate has less than 500 jumps.

10. Instructional courses – Tandem Rating Course remove_circle_outline add_circle_outline

The Tandem Instructor rating course gets you ready to make someone else’s dream of skydiving come true. By becoming a licensed tandem instructor, you are able to attach another person to you and take them for a skydive.

A minimum of 500 skydives, 3 years of experience and a USPA Coach rating are required to attend the course.
