Stay current this summer!

Published on: 07 Jun 2020

Our Desert Dropzone will reopen for a couple of days this month to help our community of licensed skydivers pop those chutes and stay current over the summer.

The DZ will be open on June 18 and June 25, from 7 am on each day (the opening time may change closer to date). Operations will be dependent on the weather and the number of registrations.

There are strict guidelines in place from the Dubai Health Authority that we will be following that will affect our regular working schedule. We foresee the days being very busy and we want everyone to be able to get a jump in. Therefore, to help the operations run smoothly and efficiently we have come up with the following system.

Manifest will be open from Sunday to Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, starting June 8, 2020, to assist with any paperwork, or purchasing jump tickets from ahead of time. Skydivers who need to get their rigs checked can bring them to the DZ between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on June 16, June 17, June 23 and June 24, 2020, only.

Any skydivers who plan on coming to skydive with us on one/both of the days, please note…

  • You need to update your documents before the day of your skydive.
  • Your reserve card must be in-date before the day of your skydive
  • You need to purchase jump tickets before the day of your skydive.
  • Registration is mandatory to jump on either day. You can do so by emailing with ‘Jumps in June in the subject line. The team will then get back to you on the next steps.
  • You need to fill and sign the newly updated solo jumper waiver for the Desert DZ - It has been updated with new information this week.
  • You are welcome to register for both days. However, please know that priority will be given to those who are not eligible to jump at the Palm DZ, and to those who may have not yet had a chance to jump on the allotted days.
  • Your temperature will be checked before you enter our facility. You are required to wear a face mask at all points of time and maintain strict hygiene levels during your visit.
  • Unfortunately, no accompanying visitors/friends/family will be allowed inside our facilities.
  • Please maintain a distance of 2 meters between yourself and fellow customers and staff at all points.
  • No cash payments will be allowed. Only contactless and card payments will be accepted.

If you do register but are unable to make it, we request that you inform our staff at the soonest so that we can accommodate other skydivers in your place.

Sadly, under these circumstances, we will not be able to accommodate AFF students on these days. We do hope you understand and appreciate your support. We request all tandem students to visit our Palm Dropzone for their skydive.

As you know your health and safety are our number 1 priority, and we will continue to work in-line with the guidelines provided by the Dubai Health Authority to uphold that.

Skydive Dubai staff and personnel have been trained to carry out all the necessary precautions and will also undergo the required checks before we begin operations each day.

As skydiving is a contact sport, please understand that in addition to all the precautions and safety measures Skydive Dubai has taken and will continue to take, by skydiving with us you assume all responsibility to the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Skydive Dubai and all its associated and relevant entities cannot guarantee your protection. If you do not accept the risk, despite all the safety measures we have taken and will continue to take, then you should not participate in any skydiving activities.

Please DO NOT visit our location if you are feeling unwell. Anyone who has a continuous cough will be asked to leave our facility.
