New timings at Skydive Dubai dropzones starting in September

Skydive Dubai is pleased to announce new hours of operation at our two dropzone locations effective September 1.

Skydive Dubai’s Desert Campus DZ will welcome tandem customers and licensed skydivers for the start of its new season on September 26. For the initial weeks, the manifest window will open at 6:30 am, with the first planeload scheduled for 7 am. Operations will continue until 3 pm, or until the weather allows. The dropzone will be open from Tuesday to Sunday.

After a summer of morning-only operations, Skydive Dubai’s premium location the Palm DZ, will switch back to its regular hours starting September 1 with the manifest window opening at 10 am, from Sunday to Saturday, with the first plane taking off around 11 am. Currently, the last available check-in (arrival) time is at 2:45 pm. These hours will remain the same until the end of May 2019.

    Tandem Skydiving

A tandem skydive is the best way to experience skydiving without any prior experience. After finalizing your paperwork and payment, you will be assigned a tandem instructor and a camera flyer to document your experience and a flight number.

While waiting for your assigned flight, this is the best time to empty your pockets and to use the restroom.

Approximately 20 minutes before your assigned plane takes off from our runway, your tandem instructor will call out your name to put you into the harness and provide a thorough briefing of what will happen and what is expected. Right after the briefing, your camera flyer will look for you to record your pre-skydiving interview and to provide hints and tips for the best photos of you skydiving in Dubai. The cost of a tandem skydive at our standard location, the Desert Campus DZ, is AED 1699. Even though the Desert Campus location is currently closed, they are accepting bookings now online for tandem skydives from September 26 to the end of October.

The cost of a tandem skydive at the Palm DZ is AED 2199. You can book now from now to the end of May 2019. The only planned closure at this location is January 1.

The price of the tandem skydive at both of our locations include photos and a professionally edited video of your complete skydiving experience.

Kindly go here to review requirements before you book your skydive at either location.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to remind our tandem customers that the time slot selected when making a reservation is the time you need to check-in. It is not your skydiving time. For example, if you select a 10 am check-in time, you need to report to the manifest window inside the main Skydive Dubai building at 10 am.

Those visiting Dubai on holiday are advised to book at least one to three months ahead and on the day of your skydive to block at least 3 hours for your tandem experience. Both our dropzones are equipped with free Wi-Fi and house a café and a merchandise store. Friends and family are welcome to join our customers at our locations. However, please note, Skydive Dubai does not offer childcare services, and minors must always be accompanied.

    Learn to Skydive Solo

Step into the world of adventure at our Desert Campus DZ and learn to skydive solo with the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) first jump course.

This training program is a combination of ground school (theory class) and 8 skydives.

Taught at Skydive Dubai Desert Campus, the only skydiving school in the GCC, you will first complete a First Jump Course (FJC), in which you will learn how to make your very first skydive.

The First Jump Course (FJC) covers topics such as basic safety procedures, equipment, body position in freefall, canopy deployment and control, aircraft procedures, and landing. Overall it takes about 6-8 hours.

We are now registering people for the first jump course; which will start the weekend of October 26. The course is taught in Arabic and English. Due to limited seating, you must book ahead with our AFF staff. This can be done easily through our website Contact Us page.

    Licensed Skydivers

Let the fun jumping begin this September 26 with the opening of the Desert Campus DZ for its new skydiving season! Fun activities are being planned for the weekend months as well as a boogie in the new year.

Our operations team asks each student and licensed skydiver traveling from outside the UAE to skydive at either of our dropzones to first read the provided briefing information, located here, and then use the form on either briefing page to message the manifest team the dates you are thinking of coming to skydive.

Additionally, while you are on the briefing page, why not opt in and sign up for our monthly newsletter dedicated to skydiving in the UAE?

Jump ticket packages are available exclusively at our Desert Campus DZ location. Spend AED 1150 and receive 10 jump tickets. Spend AED 2750 for our 25 jump ticket package. The tickets are valid for 18 months from the purchase date.

    Skyhub Dubai Gyrocopter

Skyhub Dubai’s Gyrocopter operations will also be airborne in September. Those looking to take off in the unique aircraft from the Palm DZ can book a flight between 11 am to 4:30 pm, seven days a week. Additionally, to commemorate the new season, the team has planned a special reduced-price promotion for all UAE residents. You can read more about the limited-time offer here.

Skyhub Dubai will be open from Sunday to Saturday with hours from 11 am to 4:30 pm. All timings and flights are weather dependent. More information about this adventure is located here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our staff directly via our website Contact Us page form. Be sure to select the correct option to ensure your message is received by the correct staff at either of our locations. We respond within 48 business hours (or sooner!).

September brings with it more opportunities for fun and adventure! And we look forward to seeing you next month and exploring Dubai’s skies together.
